Our Story
Janatha Steels
Janatha Steels, the foundation of our group, was established in 1986 with the ambition of becoming the leading supplier of hardware steels, materials, tools, and equipment in Sri Lanka. Today, that vision has been realized. Through strategic imports, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, supply, wholesale, and retail, Janatha Steels offers a comprehensive range of hardware materials, including tools, pipes, tubes, sheets, plates, and much more.
Since 2018, Janatha Steels has expanded into diverse fields such as construction, stationery, agriculture, pharmaceutical equipment, and automobiles, demonstrating its adaptability and commitment to growth. With a dedicated workforce of over 700 individuals, including foreign employees, Janatha Steels recognizes that its staff is its greatest asset, investing in their well-being and enriching their families. As the next generation takes the reins, they are bringing new ideas and leveraging technology to propel the company forward.

Founded in 1986 by Mr. Vasudevan, with only three staff members and what began as a hardware supplier has evolved into a diversified group of companies serving a wide range of sectors.
