Quality processes

The company’s plant is located at Peliyagoda, Kelaniya, where bulk cement is stored in 4 x 8000 (32,000 MT)  capacity concrete silos. It is a  sophisticated bulk cement terminal, which subscribes to all environmental norms and ensures good value-addition. We dispatch cement in bulk form to projects, RMCs, and roofing sheet plants. Two modern packers,  pack cement in 50 kg paper bags to service retail customers, island-wide.

Utmost care is taken while transporting cement by deploying a dedicated fleet of ships and bowsers. The company, through its principals, operates a fleet of chartered specialized ships for transporting cement. These dedicated ships are state-of-the-art, special cement carriers with all facilities on board to ensure an uninterrupted supply of fresh cement.

A fleet of dedicated cement bowsers is also in operation for the transportation of cement from Colombo port to the plant. We deploy a fleet of trucks to transport cement to the customer’s site. Quality checks are done through an in-house laboratory and quality management system, which test cement before receipt in silos, and again during dispatches to customers.
